Bulk transport is one of Zijderlaan’s transport services. Thanks to its close involvement in every stage of the transport process, Zijderlaan is able to manage the entire operation efficiently. We respond to the specific wishes and requirements of every customer and focus on solutions to achieve the objective. In recent years, Zijderlaan has grown significantly in this sector by effectively anticipating customer needs. Increasing amounts of Value Added Logistics are being incorporated into the overall process, such as repackaging from big bags or bagged goods into bulk, from the Zijderlaan distribution centre in Stolwijk.
Versatile in bulk transport
Zijderlaan handles a wide range of bulk transport operations for various partners. These include foodstuffs, cement and lime-based raw materials for the construction industry, lime for industrial use, and water supply companies. Zijderlaan is Kiwa-certified for deliveries to water treatment plants.

For the transport of granules and powdered products, Zijderlaan operates a bulk fleet comprising 17 bottom-discharge lorries and 30 tipper bulk lorries with a capacity of up to 63 m³. The tractor units are fitted with low-noise compressors. The bulk lorries are cleaned internally in the modern wash bay and can also be dried there if required. Naturally, all our qualified drivers hold a VCA certificate.
