The GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance module was established to ensure the quality of animal feed at every stage of the feed supply chain. Our company is GMP+ certified. Based on practical requirements, various components have been integrated into the GMP+ FSA module, such as requirements for the quality management system (ISO 9001), HACCP, product standards, traceability, monitoring, the prerequisite programme, the chain approach and the Early Warning System.

For Zijderlaan, the sugar beet campaign fits perfectly into our overall range of activities and aligns seamlessly with our niche as an organiser of large-scale campaigns (cereals/sugar beet). The challenge, particularly when dealing with such large volumes, is to establish a well-functioning system that delivers on what has been agreed.

To guarantee agreements and deliveries, in addition to our own fleet of tippers, a large number of regular chartered vehicles (GMP+) are hired. It is a challenge for all staff every year to execute this continuous process to the highest standard. It is a major team achievement that is certainly appreciated by the sugar industry.

Zijderlaan transports solid and dry by-products for the livestock sector on behalf of Duynie. The animal feed is stored directly from the lorry into silos. By storing the animal feed directly in a silo, the high quality of the product is maintained, there are no storage losses, there is virtually no moisture loss, and the products are well preserved.
